The Nigerian Fifth Ethnic Group, Urhobo, Are Very Wonderful People Reach In Culture And Lifestyle.
A union in Urhobo called, Urhobo World United Union (UWUU) Lagos chapter, is set to hold her annual general meeting where there will be a display of reach Urhobo culture to thrill entire Lagos. The union that set out it mission and vision to transform the world around them to make it a better place for every one.
Urhobo World United Union (UWUU) is a union of Urhobo sons and daughters around
the globe. The Association currently has branches in Abuja, Port-Harcourt Delta state, Lagos
and United Kingdom, Dubai and United States of America.
Urhobo World United Union (UWUU) is a group of Urhobo entrepreneurs and intellectuals
with a passion for the enhancements of Urhobo interest locally and internationally. UWUU is a
registered non-profit organization that promote and maintain Urhobo heritage.
Our goal is to make positive impact in the Urhobo communities.
Our mission is to unite all Urhobo sons and daughters and promote the Urhobo culture all
around the world.
Our vision is to promote good citizenship and peaceful coexistence between Urhobo people
and their neighboring communities in Delta state and in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
MOTTO:
In Urhobo language is "Eguono, Okugbe ve Egba" which translates in English as "Love,
Togetherness and Strength”
Some of our objectives are:
(1) To encourage educational development in the Urhobo Nation.
(2) To protect the Urhobo image and heritage at all times.
(3) To preserve the tradition and also promote the Urhobo culture all around the world.
(4) To promote the spirit of love and unity amongst the Urhobo Nation.
(5) To identify, cultivate and support Urhobo leaders that are genuinely interested in the
Urhobo Nation.
The president is inviting everyone to grease the occasion and these are his words.
