The bold step was taken after actors guild of Nigeria,
embarks on restructuring, sets up powerful sub committees. In line with his vision and mission to transform the Actors Guild of Nigeria, through innovative and creative programs that would help reposition the Guild and offer succor and new hope to teeming members, the National President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas has inaugurated five powerful sub-Committees to help propel the restructuring of the Guild for more effective and efficient performance, service delivery and to reckon with the post Covid-19 socio-economic changes.
The five sub-committees include, Standard Contract, Welfare, Membership, Merger and Inter Guild Activities and Patrons Ratification.
The sub – Committees are headed by,
- Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey – Standard Contract
- Bob Manuel Udokwu – Membership
- Zack Orji – Merger and Inter Guilds
- Segun Arinze – Patrons Ratification
- Hon. Desmond Elliot – Welfare
Notable members of the Sub- Committees include, Joke Silva, Richard Mofe Damijo, Bimbo Manuel, Alex Ekubo, Ada Ameh, kate Henshaw, Hilda Dokubo, Ireti Doyle, Monalisa Chinda, Okey Bakasi, Ego Boyo, Emeka Enyiocha, Femi Branch, Sani Danja, Wassh Waziri Hong, Sola Kosoko, Ronie Dikko, Hajia Salma Ibrahim, Moji Oyetayo, Ayokunle Ajisafe, Browny Igboegwu, Ifeoma Okeke, Don Pedro Aganbi, Rita Daniel, Marcus Maina, Emeka Duru, Agility Onwurah and many others.
They are more active in visiting members who are challenge and has need, supporting them to get back on fit again. Some months a go, MOU was sign. The U collect also receives donations from foreign currency (dollars) (Euros)
We have the online transfer and USSD, here our collection account number pops up and the donor can make the donations using his bank ussd/ app by transfer. It is really a home for me, knowing how passionate they are helping members. I must say it is a pleasure to be part of AGN. Recently, they launched the Close User Group(CUG). A sim card that enable members to call friends and family for free.

IT IS JUST FOR N1,000 AND RECHARGE N1,000 EVERY MONTH THAT'S ALL
It is a simcard from globalcom called Close User Group(CUG) made specially for AGN to enable them communicate freely with low cost. With it, getting work done in this period of pandemic will be very easy. I commend the effort of Mr President who pull this together. Recently, Mr President took another bold step to curb the issue of health of members by signing MOU with health organization. In our quest to curb the perennial health issues of members, the Guild under the leadership of the indefatigable Actor, Ejezie Emeka Rollas, National President has just launched an affordable health management organization, HMO, which would help members access over 600 hospitals and medical facilities nationwide timely medication under the cover.This is to help put a stop to the usual alms begging to raise funds for treatment anytime members are faced with health challenges
They have set up a committee to help with the implementation of the HMO across all members; the committee is headed by Veteran Actor, Joke Silva MFR.

This is just overwhelming seeing all these things been put in place by Mr President. It was a time of celebration for members and non-members during this pandemic period, because Members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria Committee on COVID-19 led the Chairman, Hon. Desmond Elliot, in company of the National President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas, distributed food stuff to members of the Guild and the public in Lagos, Abuja and Delta States respectively. This is to assuage the suffering caused by the lockdown and restriction on movement in parts of the country recently.

I want to take out time to appreciate the person of Mr President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas and his Excos. We appreciate your good work. my God will reward you and your team. I also want to appreciate my chairman for her selfless service to humanity. The person of Moji Oyetayo and your Excos, May God continue to strengthen you and give you what your heart desire.
